The Sustainability Program created a Green Impact Guide to assist park employees and volunteers with implementing best sustainability practices. The framework was developed by the Balboa Park Green Team and expanded upon by San Diego State University students from the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts through a valued partnership with SDSU. The goal was to create a sustainability handbook comprised of new and existing tools to advise the successful implementation of sustainable business practices and operations for arts & cultural organizations. In its final form, the Green Impact Guide integrates green building and sustainability concepts into best practices that can be followed by Balboa Park’s arts & cultural institutions. The Guide provides a workbook to evaluate and improve current practices and policies with tools and resources to help green your organization or museum.
