Park staff and volunteers enjoyed a visit from the San Diego Humane Society’s Pet-Assisted Therapy (P-AT) program for a chance to “de-stress” with pets for the November 2019 OPOT Get-Together. The P-AT program provides people of all ages in care facilities the chance to experience the joys of pet ownership and corporate groups a relaxing break with visits from socialized rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and dogs.
Park members and volunteers hung out with the San Diego Humane Society’s wonderful volunteers and pet volunteers for a therapeutic break at the San Diego Museum of Man. More than 70 Park team members took this opportunity to relax among fellow Park members and learn about the San Diego Humane Society’s P-AT programs.
