DESCRIPTION:Workshop Summary \nBusinesses are becoming more energy-savvy\, integrating and taking advantage of both energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. Combining the two provides unique opportunities to harness multiple benefits. Integrated Demand Side Management (IDSM) and Integrated Distributed Energy Resources (IDER) are forward-thinking approaches to energy savings. \nLearn about the basics of IDSM and IDER\, then dive deeper into these topics through breakout sessions. Speakers will discuss resources available from SDG&E to pursue these types of projects and explain how these strategies will help overall green building performance and the San Diego community. Lindsey works closely with key stakeholders to transform the market for energy-efficient and green buildings. Lindsey and her team work collaboratively with local governments\, business owners and tenants\, homeowners\, utilities\, trade professionals\, state regulators\, and more to build demand for high performance buildings\, and to ensure supply of a skilled\, clean energy workforce. Lindsey and her team facilitate smooth market transactions through promotion of clean energy financing products\, green real estate valuation\, and streamlined codes\, standards and permit processes.   \n  \nKimberly Ketron: Account Executive: San Diego Gas & Electric® (SDG&E®) \nKimberly Ketron is an Account Executive at San Diego Gas & Electric. Kimberly has extensive experience in Rates\, SDG&E Business Rebate and Incentive Programs\, Savings By Design (New Construction Program) Renewable Energy Resource\, Demand Response Resource\, and currently manages the sectors of property management\, non-profits\, and private schools.  Kimberly works closely with her clients to assist them in becoming more sustainable and reducing their bottom line through the utilization of SDG&E’s programs. Kimberly has been an Account Executive since 2006 and the Account Executive for BPCP institutions since 2008\, when the Balboa Park Sustainability Program (BPSP) was formed. Since then\, and aided by the hard work and dedication of Kimberly\, BPSP has won the SDG&E title of Environmental Grand Champion. \n  \nMarc Costa: Program Manager: Energy Coalition  \nMarc Costa is a Program Manager at Energy Coalition and has more than eight years of experience in the building industry focusing on areas ranging from economic and workforce development to higher education engagement and whole-portfolio energy management strategies. Marc focuses on local government efforts including retrofit management\, building permitting\, policy\, and software tools to streamline energy efficiency processes. Marc holds a B.S. in Management Science from UCSD\, a B.S. in Construction Engineering from CSULB\, and is a LEED AP\, CGBP and BOC Level II. In addition\, Marc is secretary of the Pacific Regional Committee of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and is also a National Chair for USGBC’s Center for Green Schools. In 2014\, Marc served as a judge at the Department of Energy’s Case Competition for city energy management solutions. \n  \n  \nThis workshop is FREE and open to the public. \nLunch will be provided by the House of England. \nSeating is limited and registration is required. \n**REGISTER HERE**
