What We Do

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership serves as the collaborative body and collective voice for 29 arts, science, and cultural institutions in Balboa Park. Together we achieve greater effectiveness, innovation, and excellence and contribute to the vitality and sustainability of Balboa Park. Our collective of 500 trustees, 7,000 volunteers, and 3,500 staff serve more than 6.2 million visitors annually.

With the Balboa Park Explorer program, you have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural and artistic offerings of Balboa Park in an easy and affordable way.
Balboa Park Explorer gives back to the community through the Community Access Pass (CAP) program, which provides the opportunity for underserved families, and now active duty military families, to experience the cultural and educational joys of Balboa Park.
The Learning Institute empowers individuals and organizations with specialized continuing education opportunities that build community, advance professional practices, and encourage new thinking.
At this two-day faire, Maker exhibits are woven throughout Balboa Park grounds and into participating museums. The participatory model brings new visitors to the Park, provides exposure for museums, and invites a myriad of sponsorship opportunities.
